When the English take their "tea" time, what kind of tea do they usually drink? Earl Grey?

the english tradition used to be to take your tea at around 4 in the afternoon. i presume when this tradition started tea bags were not in existence and now there are so many different types that people use all kinds.

i dont normally take tea at 4 as such but when i do have tea (which is about 4 or 5 times a day) i drink PG Tips, i really hate Earl Grey because i think it tastes like soap!! lol

Soap? I always went with tar. There will never be enough cream or sugar to make that stuff taste good.
